I have experience supporting people with psychosocial, intellectual, physical, neurological and chronic health conditions. I take a trauma-informed approach and adapt support to the person, rather than expecting everyone to fit one routine.
Experience with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and other personality disorders, PTSD and complex trauma, depression, generalised anxiety and panic attacks.
Support for autistic people, people with ADHD, and people with intellectual disability, shaped around their communication, preferences and goals.
Experience supporting people with physical disability, neurological conditions and long-term health conditions, including chronic pain and fatigue, in everyday life and community access.
This is a guide to my experience, not a requirement for working together. Get in touch to discuss your own support needs.
Hi, I’m Karima. You might know me as Kes from NDIS with Kes. I’m an independent support worker with a BA in Psychology and Sociology, several years of hands-on NDIS experience, and I’m currently undertaking a Diploma of Counselling.
My approach is warm, direct and collaborative. We can work on the practical things in front of you while keeping the bigger goals in view. I value clear communication with participants, families and the wider support team.
Independent, unregistered support worker. Service suitability and funding arrangements can be discussed during an enquiry.
